Frequently Asked Questions
Navigate to the Herd section from the top navigation bar, then click the "Add Animal" button. Fill in the required details such as tag ID, name (optional), gender, and any other relevant information. Once you save, the animal will appear in your herd list and on the map if GPS tracking is enabled.
Go to the Health Records section and click "Add Record". Select the category (Vaccinations, Deworming, Treatment, etc.), choose the animal, enter the date, product details, and any notes. You can also set follow-up dates for booster shots or future treatments. All records are saved and can be exported for your veterinarian or regulatory compliance.
Geofences are virtual boundaries on your ranch map that help you monitor specific pasture areas. To create a geofence, navigate to the Dashboard where the map is displayed, use the drawing tools to outline your desired boundary, name it, and save. You'll receive alerts when animals enter or exit these designated areas, helping you manage grazing patterns and detect potential escape situations.
Yes! The Groups section allows you to create custom groups such as "Breeding Heifers", "Bulls", "Calves", or any category that fits your operation. Click "Create Group", name it, and add animals by selecting them from your herd. Groups make it easier to apply batch treatments, track specific cohorts, and generate targeted reports.
In the animal documentation section (click on any animal in the Herd view), you can link parent-calf relationships, track pregnancy status, set due dates, and record calving ease scores. The system maintains a complete family tree and reproductive history, allowing you to analyze breeding performance, track genetics, and plan future breeding decisions.
Most sections include an "Export" button that allows you to download your data in PDF or Excel format. In Health Records, you can export filtered records with customizable fields. In Reports, you can generate comprehensive ranch reports including herd inventories, health summaries, and documentation exports. All exports are formatted for easy sharing with veterinarians, farm managers, or regulatory agencies.
Each health record has a red delete button (×) on the right side of the row. Clicking it will open a confirmation dialog to ensure you want to permanently delete the record. This two-step process prevents accidental deletions. Once confirmed, the record is permanently removed from the system.
The system automatically generates alerts for important events such as geofence breaches, upcoming vaccinations, low tracker batteries, and unusual animal behavior patterns. Alerts appear on your Dashboard and can be configured in Settings to send email or browser notifications. You can customize which alert types you receive and set your notification preferences.
Yes, the AniTrackers ranch console is fully responsive and works on tablets and smartphones. Simply log in from your mobile browser at the same URL. The interface adapts to smaller screens, making it easy to check your herd status, record quick notes, or respond to alerts while you're out in the field.
